Healthcare Administrator
Duties and Responsibilities: Healthcare
administrators are also known as medical and health services managers or health
care executives. Their duties include:
· Coordinate activities of medical
organizations
· Create goals and strategies for
achieving them and communicate it to all employees
· Manage the administrative tasks of
hospitals and other health care facilities
· Initiate projects
· Manage subordinate administrative
staff
· Hire, train, and monitor clerks and
secretaries
· Assign schedules and tasks
· Take care of maintaining and
repairing their physical facilities
· Represent their organizations at
investor meetings/governing boards
· Handle finances (ex. creating
budgets, calculating and issuing patient bills, and negotiating insurance
claims, etc.)
Salary: $31,400
- $104,900 per year
Education: A
bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, state-approved training,
on-the-job experience, licensed from an approved, accredited institute.
