Duties and Responsibilities: A
professional athlete is someone who is employed as an athlete and gets paid to
compete in sport competitions and attend sport events. Their duties include:
- Traveling
- Attending sport events
- Competing in sport competitions
- Concentrate under stress
- Perform in front of huge crowds
- Train and improve on their skills
- Maintain good physical fitness levels
- Lead teams
- Participate in athletic events
- Develop skills
- Receive instructions from coach and other sports staff
Salary: $19,000
- $45,000 per year
Education: Extensive
training, a certificate with a particular sports federation
