"I wasn't trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right."

             "I wasn't trying to leave a legacy.
I was trying to do what was right."
                           By: Dean Smith

This quote means that Dean Smith didn't care about money, fame, attention, etc. All he cared about was doing what's right for himself and everyone around him. He didn't want to do what was wrong by doing all the wrong things like cheating, etc. It's good to be a good person and do what's right than to be a bad person who always does what's wrong. Anyone can choose the wrong but only a certain amount of people will have the courage to do what's right. It's better to be an ordinary non-famous person who was known for always doing the right for everyone than being famous for always doing what's wrong. That will only give you a bad reputation and a bad name. A person who does what's right, receives more respect than someone who has a bad attitude and makes bad choices. Dean was a good person who make good decisions and was still very famous and known for that. Doing what's wrong and making bad choices doesn't always get you what you want, only what you deserve.

Karma will take care of itself.

"It's not about how to achieve your dreams. It's      about how to lead you life. If you lead your life       the RIGHT WAY, the karma (destiny, fortune,            good luck) will take care of itself. The                                 dreams will come to you."
                        By: Dr. Randy Pausch

This quote means that you should always do the right thing no matter what and to never do anything bad. If someone does something bad to you, you shouldn't try to get even with them and do something bad in return. You should just let them be and continue doing what's right. Karma will soon give them and you what they deserve. When you work hard and try again and again to get to your dreams, they'll soon come to you. You can't just try once or not try at all and hope for your dreams to come your way. You have to work hard for it because you may not be the only one with the dreams you have. Thousands or even millions of other people can have similar or even the same dreams you have, so you have to work hard in order for you to be the one to accomplish and get to them. Living your life the right away also helps you with your dreams because someone who always does what's right and doesn't have a bad attitude has a higher and better chance of a reaching their dreams compared to someone who always does what's wrong. A negative person will only be pushing away the chances of reaching their dreams. A positive person will have their dreams come to them.

"Take responsibility for YOUR OWN body, mind, and spirit, for your own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being."

"Take responsibility for YOUR OWN body,          mind, and spirit, for your own physical, mental,                         and spiritual well-being."
                       By: Mr. C. S. Haymore

This quote means that you have to properly take care of your body, mind, and spirit without having anyone else do it for you. For example, you have to properly take care of your body by eating healthy and exercising. You're feeding you're body correctly and risking the chances of getting any diseases and having higher chances of living longer. You also shouldn't get any tattoos or piercings because they damage your body and can possibly infect it. You also have to take care of your mind. Some ways in you can do that is by thinking positive and getting rid of the negative. You should have a peaceful mind with nothing but positive thinking. You shouldn't damage it with bad movies or because of the bad things other people say or do. You should also take care of your spirit.

LAUSD

                                 LAUSD

I think LAUSD has good graduation requirements because now students can only pass a class with a "C" or higher because students will automatically be considered for admission at any California Universities. It'll also be easier for students to graduate and get their high school diploma because the number of credits needed will be 210 instead of 230. They also have a lot of good programs for students to get the help they need and graduate. These requirements and programs will help me graduate and have a better chance of going to a college or university. They help prevent students from dropping out. When something doesn't seem right, they make home visits to talk to the parents/guardians. They make sure that the students are doing okay and aren't in danger of dropping out or not culminating. LAUSD makes sure that students are doing good in school and that they're doing what's necessary to have a good future. They also motivate students to go to school everyday.

"We need to have the courage to START and CONTINUE what we should do, and the courage to STOP what we shouldn't do."

"We need to have the courage to START and        CONTINUE what we should do, and the courage                 to STOP what we shouldn't do."
                       By: Richard L. Evans

This quote means that we need to start and continue to do what's right and never stop. But we also need to stop doing what's wrong and never do it again. For example, if you're the type of person that never studies and copies other people's tests, you need to stop doing that. You need to start doing the right thing and always study. If you do the opposite and start and continue to do something bad, you'll be bringing negative consequences and people to your life. But if you always continue to do what's right, you'll bring good consequences and people into your life. For example, if you're the type of person that always does their homework, then you should continue to be like that. You shouldn't stop doing that and start not doing your homework and copy other people's homework. It's your choice to either start or stop doing what you think is right but think about the consequences before you choose.

"When you tell one lie, it leads to another."

"When you tell one lie, it leads to another."
                           By: Paul Hatch

This quote means that when you lie you have to back it up with another lie. It's bad to lie because when people find out you weren't telling the truth, you lose their trust. Once you lose their trust, it's hard to get it back. People always think it's sometimes good to lie but in reality, lying always does more harm than good. The truth always finds a way to come out. Lying also brings you negative consequences that you're going to have to pay for your actions. Sometimes people lie so much that it becomes a habit and they end up doing that all the time instead of saying the truth. It also hurts people because you're lying to them instead of saying the truth. No one likes being lied to. It's always better to say the truth no matter what.

School Break Days

                          School Break Days

My school break wasn't that good. I didn't really talk to people but I watched a lot of good movies. I watched Terminator: Genisys which was really good,The Perfect Guy, Home, Daddy's Home, Shrek Forever After, A Christmas Kiss which was really cute, and Saw II. That was honestly one of the most exciting and fun things I've done. For Christmas, we went to my aunt's house and had a Christmas party. What I really liked about that day was going out with my cousins at 2 a.m to buy some snacks at 7/11. It felt really nice driving around past midnight. For New Year's Eve, we went to my other aunt's house and had a New Year's Party. I really loved watching One Direction performing for the New Year's Eve Show in New York. Once it was midnight, we all hugged and wished each other a great year. I hung out with some friends and went bowling and later on to Downtown LA. My break was pretty boring but I still wasn't happy or excited about coming back to school. Good thing though was that we didn't have any homework so I didn't have to worry about that.
