This quote means that when you do what's right you honor yourself and what you do. People will see that in you and want to hang out with people like you than people who never do what's right. All your honor and respect depends on what you do and how you treat others. Having no honor gives you a bad reputation. It gives others a reason to not want to hang out with you or talk to you. People think you don't treat others with respect or that you don't care about anything. Having honor based on your actions gives you a good reputation. People want to be with you more than those who do nothing honorable.
