Duties and Responsibilities: Radiation therapists treat cancer and other diseases in patients by administering radiation treatments. Their duties include:
- Explain treatment plans to the patient
- Follow safety procedures to protect the patient
- Examine machines to make sure they work
- X-ray the patient to find the area that needs treatment
- Keep detailed records of treatment
- Monitor the patient
- Check computer programs

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy
